Need / Problem: The square had fallen into significant disrepair and required refurbishment to improve safety, accessibility and overall urban quality.
Solution: Comprehensive redevelopment including a children's play area, pedestrian walkways, landscaped areas, planters and lighting.
Result: A renewed public space that enhances community life, play opportunities and residents' quality of life.

In the Sant Pere i Sant Pau district of Tarragona, the Plaça de la Cinquena Promoció has been completely renovated, transforming a deteriorated space into a more accessible, functional public area designed for people.

The project includes new pedestrian routes, landscaped areas and ESFÉRICA planters positioned alongside the pathways, bringing greenery, order and a more welcoming appearance to the urban environment.

The new children's playground features a variety of play elements for different age groups, including a three-dimensional climbing net, the DERA slide with Liza climbing holds used as access, the Villa playhouse for younger children, the Piona seesaw and play tunnels integrated into the safety surfacing. The entire play area is finished with continuous rubber safety surfacing, providing safety, comfort and a colourful, dynamic appearance.

The project is completed with CICLO lighting, improving visibility at night and encouraging safer use of the space after dark.
