Renovation of a playground in Hostalets de Pierola featuring a large robinia LIT tower, creating an inclusive, natural play space adapted to different ages.

Need / Problem: The existing playground area had become outdated and required a safer, more accessible and inclusive renovation.
Solution: Installation of a large robinia LIT play structure and full renovation of the children’s area.
Result: A more modern, natural and family-friendly play space has been created, designed for everyday use.

Plaça de les Oliveres in Els Hostalets de Pierola (Barcelona) now features a new children’s play area designed to revitalise the public space and strengthen its family-oriented character.

The intervention includes Benito’s large-format LIT tower, part of the ROY collection, a line of playground equipment made from robinia hardwood that promotes integration with the natural environment through a more handcrafted and authentic aesthetic.

The two-storey structure includes a double slide, climbing ladders, a climbing wall, climbing elements and sand play features, offering different play experiences adapted to various ages and abilities.

Designed for those who understand play as an educational tool linked to respect for nature, the ROY collection highlights natural materials and organic forms, creating warmer and more stimulating spaces for children.

The project is completed with the renovation of the safety surfacing and the reorganisation of the area to improve accessibility and comfort.
