Hiroya Tanaka is an architect, doctor of architecture and specialist in the measurement and analysis of Antoni Gaudí’s work. His professional career has been deeply linked to the study of modernist architecture and to research into the relationships between structure, geometry, materiality and landscape. During his time in Barcelona, he carried out extensive measurement and architectural representation work on some of Gaudí’s most emblematic buildings, including the Sagrada Família and Park Güell, producing detailed drawings and studies that deepen the spatial and constructive understanding of his architecture.

Throughout his career, he has participated in international research, restoration and urban planning projects related to architectural heritage, collaborating with initiatives promoted by UNESCO Forum in Mexico and developing workshops, exhibitions and lectures across Europe, Asia and America. His work stands out for an analytical and artistic perspective capable of combining architecture, drawing, engineering and cultural memory.

In addition to his research activity, Hiroya Tanaka has developed his own architectural projects inspired by Gaudí’s constructive and structural techniques, applying this knowledge to contemporary proposals where tradition, innovation and cultural context interact naturally.
