Carme Pigem is an architect graduated from ETSAV and co-founder of RCR Arquitectes, a studio created together with Rafael Aranda and Ramon Vilalta and internationally recognised for an architecture deeply connected to landscape, light and materiality. Her career is characterised by a sensitive and contemporary vision, capable of integrating architecture and the natural environment through essential, poetic and timeless spaces.
Winner of the 2017 Pritzker Prize together with the other partners of RCR Arquitectes, her work has received numerous international awards and publications. Alongside her professional activity, she has also developed an outstanding career in teaching and research, establishing herself as one of the most influential figures in contemporary architecture.
